Celebrating our 10th Anniversary

This Spring marks 10 years since Cromlix was reopened by Kim and Andy Murray as a five star country house hotel.

To celebrate this milestone, we are hosting our own celebratory dinner in our stunning Garden Room on the evening of Sunday, 16th June and we’d love for you to join us!

Our Executive Head Chef, Darin Campbell, who is celebrating his own 10th anniversary with us, has created a special five course menu with paired wines, with dishes chosen to reflect key moments in the Murray’s family history and connection with Cromlix.

Guests will enjoy a welcome glass of sparkling wine together with delicious canapés served in our Billiards Room before moving to the Garden Room for dinner.   

The menu for the evening with accompanying wine pairings from Liberty Wines is as follows:


Grilled Scottish Asparagus, Poached Duck Egg, Hollandaise Sauce

paired with Tinpot Hut ‘McKee Vineyard’ Gruner Veltliner 2017

This is inspired by a dish served at the Silver Wedding Anniversary of Roy & Shirley Erskine (Andy’s Grandparents) at Cromlix in 1982. This was the first event held at the hotel after it was converted from a family home.


Pea and Garden Mint Soup, Hand Dived Scallop

paired with Cullen ‘Mangan Vineyard’ Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon 2023

This is a dish that was chosen by Kim and Andy for their wedding breakfast served at Cromlix in 2015, following their church service at Dunblane Cathedral.


Aberdeenshire Rack of Lamb, Basil and Butterbean Puree, Baby Carrots, Red Currant Sauce

paired with Yann Chave Crozes-Hermitage Rouge 2021

This is a dish that has been created by our Head Chef to showcase our new style of cooking at Cromlix, using the best seasonal Scottish produce.


Cheese Souffle Twice Baked

Albert Roux OBE oversaw the Chez Roux restaurant at Cromlix when it first reopened under the Murray’s in 2013 and worked closely with our Head Chef, Darin Campbell to create a French inspired, fine dining menu.

His twice baked souffle was one of his signature dishes and a Cromlix guest favourite, so this is to celebrate Albert’s amazing contribution and legacy to the culinary world.  


Strawberries and Cream

The ultimate winning combination of strawberries and cream are about an synonymous with tennis as Andy Murray.

Scottish strawberries are renowned for being particularly sweet as they are allowed to ripen slowly in the temperate climate.

Event Price: £180 per person inclusive of 5-course menu with accompanying wine pairings
