Then let the kitchen take over. Enjoy delicate focaccia sandwiches, still warm, layered with seasonal ingredients. Cakes that make no apologies for their decadence. And, of course, golden, freshly baked scones, waiting patiently to be crowned with generous dollops of clotted cream and jam.
