Pursuits worth making time for
There’s always more to discover at Cromlix. It might begin in the kitchen garden with Head Gardener Kathy leading you through what’s in season, before serving up a refreshing cup of herbal goodness. Or perhaps it’s casting a line on a neighbouring loch with our local ghillie. And if luck’s on your side, having Chef prepare your catch.
It could be the thrill of falconry, an eagle settling on your glove, is a moment you won’t forget. Or tuition on the courts - tennis or pickleball, anyone? If creativity calls, join one of our watercolour workshops inspired by the natural world around us. And when the seasons shift, stargazing opens up a different kind of stillness entirely, the sky above Cromlix revealed in full. Whatever calls you, the team can arrange, just ask.

Brilliant adventures nearby
A foraging walk on the Perthshire hills is your time to pause, and tune in to nature before savouring a delicious seasonal lunch. Or take to the water on Loch Lubnaig by paddleboard, kayak, or canoe. And if you prefer two wheels, enjoy a guided cycle through the Trossachs at your own pace.
For the adventurous, the wild terrain of Loch Lomond is best explored by 4x4 before stepping aboard a private yacht for a stunning sail. If history, culture, and Outlander are more your thing, tour filming locations and castles with a specialist guide who brings stories to life, and you’ll see plenty of Highland cows along the way, too. The remarkable Leighton Library in Dunblane is also worth a visit.
Whisky lovers can discover Rosebank and Glenturret distilleries, even taking home their own blended bottle of liquid gold. And golfers - tee off at Stirling and Dunblane, with Gleneagles and St Andrews close enough if you want to tick off the big names.
